Release notes Skribenta Web
The Security settings inside the Properties panel are an advanced feature. The Apply button is therefore now only available for an Admin.
A Quick button has been added to the top toolbar:
The button opens a toolbar in which you can collect your favorite operations for quick access.
In short, you right-click on a button or a dropdown option and select Copy button. You then right-click on the Quick button and select Paste button,
In the following example, the Unordered list button is added to the Quick toolbar.
Right-click on the Unordered button in the Block toolbar and select Copy button
Right-click on the Quick button and select Paste button:
Expand the Quick button:
Now you can create an unordered list with a button inside the Quick toolbar
In the following example, an option in a dropdown panel is added to the Quick toolbar.
Expand Inline and Phrase, right-click on Hint, and select Copy button:
Right-click on the Quick button and select Paste button:
Expand the Quick button:
Now you have 2 buttons in the Quick toolbar.
You can remove a button from the Quick toolbar by right-clicking the button and selecting Remove button.
The buttons are saved in the local storage under the name QuickMenu1
There was a test applied when setting a version on a folder. It checked if the folder contains any checked-out children or grandchildren. If so, the setting was denied with the message "You can only set version if no child or grandchild is working".
This test is now replaced with a more general test which is executed after every operation. The test makes sure the operation does not create "illegal" resources. There are 2 types of illegal resources:
The resource is not visible in the current configuration
The resource has multiple paths in the current configuration
A flag on a resource indicates the master file language, in this case, English:
Clicking on the flag will bring up a panel for selecting a translation "on-the-fly".
Here, Swedish was selected:
In this example, one block was missing a translation:
There is now a Sim button on the right side. Clicking on Sim will look for similar blocks in the translation memory:
The proposed block might be a good substitution and clicking on the Use button will replace the block in the master file with the one in the memory. The block, as indicated in the All button, is translated to three languages including Swedish so reusing the block will decrease translation costs.
The master file is now fully translated:
You can now add a Callout image inside another Callout.
This is a Callout file:
Here, the Callout file has been included as an image and resized:
(TBD)
Some new shapes have been added:
You can control the relative size of the different parts of an arrow by dragging the yellow handles:
The triangle has one yellow handle, controlling the slope of the triangle:
Two types of a line have been added:
The lines are called elbow lines and will connect shapes like this:
The yellow handle controls the position where the elbow is:
You can now save an embedded Callout drawing as a Callout file. Open the drawing More toolbar and click on File
(TBD)
You can now create templates containing more than one shape and later conveniently paste them into your drawing.
Let's say you frequently create a textbox with an attached arrow - a typical callout!
Now select the 2 shapes:
Click on the Create Template button in the shape toolbar:
Specify a name for the template and a template group name and click on Create:
Put the caret in a drawing:
Click on Templates in the drawing/More toolbar
Click on the Callouts group option to see the templates inside the group:
If you hover over a template you can see the template name as a tooltip. Click on the template and you will get a copy in your drawing:
Move the shapes to a suitable position, edit the text, and connect the arrow to the image:
If you want to edit the template, there is a link in the Templates dropdown "Edit shape templates". Clicking on the link will create a view with the template file:
Each user has a personal template file. Edit the template which is an ordinary Callout drawing.
There is also a global template file, pointed to by a parameter, typically specified in the domain recipe:
You can create some private templates and then copy the good ones to the global templates - then all users can benefit from them.
Sometimes you want to select all lines in a Progress panel (or Warnings) so you can send the lines to someone else in a support situation.
This was difficult. Now the CTRL-a button (Select all) can be used. First, it will select the current paragraph content, then the whole paragraph, and last all paragraphs in the panel. You can then copy the selection and paste it somewhere.
The Database management toolbar now contains an Export database button.
After the database has been exported you will get the chance to download it:
These features are only available in the Admin role.
Sometimes a panel is increased in size when a sub-panel is expanded. This could lead to non-visible parts of the panel. Now the position is changed to make sure the whole panel is visible.
Here a dropdown is opened near the bottom of the screen:
Expanding the Master file option will make the dropdown higher:
The dropdown is positioned higher up so the whole content is visible.
A feature in the old clients was the "Copy-logical-name" button. That was frequently used when you wanted to create a link to a resource.
Now you can right-click on a resource and bring up the File toolbar. Clicking on the Copy button will copy the logical name to the clipboard. As an alternative, you can just do CTRL-c on the resource. You can then paste it into a text field.
If you do a Paste inside a master file, you will get a link to the resource. If the resource is an image, you will get an image inside the master file.
The NonBreakSpace icon presented in the #text toolbar is updated so it looks like the Macron characters used (it was a degree character some time ago).
Sometimes a resource might be invalid:
The resource has no legal path in the current configuration
The resource has multiple legal paths
(TBD)
Invalid master files when publishing publications are handled.
Un-override of an invalid resource.
The date was updated on blocks when the translate-this file was Received after translation. This provoked a conflict at Update.
